Convertible without compromise takes centre stage at The Kuwait Motor Show 2019 between January 17-26

The McLaren 720S Spider, the most accomplished convertible supercar ever from McLaren Automotive, makes its regional Middle East debut at The Kuwait Motor Show 2019 held at 360 Mall in Al Zahra, Kuwait City. The stunning vehicle, finished in Pearl White, forms a centrepiece of the McLaren Kuwait City display and will be available for customer and fan viewings between January 17-26.

“We are honoured to work with McLaren Kuwait City to unveil the new McLaren 720S Spider in the region. This latest Super Series model lights up the supercar class with an irresistible combination of performance, luxury, driver involvement and usability, all combined with additional exhilaration of open-air driving. I am convinced that the car will delight our discerning customers and want to thank McLaren Kuwait City for their contribution to the continuous success of the brand in the Middle East.”

Brett Soso, Managing Director – Middle East, Africa and Latin America, McLaren Automotive

“The 720S is a badge that has earned its position as one of the best supercars in the world. Its global success is no different than the level of enthusiasm and demand we saw in Kuwait, where we sold all the allocated units. We are confident that the McLaren 720S Spider will continue that legacy and take pride that Kuwait will be the launch pad for this exciting McLaren Super Series model in the GCC. We look forward to sharing its glamour and capabilities at the Kuwait Motor Show 2019.”
Yousef Al Qatami, General Manager, McLaren Kuwait City

The McLaren 720S Spider, the brand’s second model launched under the company’s ambitious £1.2bn Track25 business plan, combines the thrill of open-air driving with unparalleled dynamic performance and sophistication. The car features a patented new carbon fibre roof system, which is electrically actuated and delivers fastest-operating time in the supercar class, lowering or raising in 11 seconds at vehicle speeds of up to 50km/h.

The 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine that powers the 720S Spider is unchanged from the Coupé. Mid-mounted for exceptional handling and purity of response, it produces staggering outputs of 720PS and 770Nm. Combined with a lightest dry weight of only 1,332kg this delivers a power-to-weight ratio of 540PS per tonne, giving the new 720S Spider astonishing performance. Acceleration is nothing short of phenomenal, with 0-100km/h covered in just 2.9 seconds and 0-200km/h achieved in 7.9 seconds.

McLaren Kuwait City, the McLaren Automotive Middle East, Africa & Latin America Retailer of the Year 2017, is managed by Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive Co. WLL. and located on Airport Road 55, Al Shuwaikh, 21540, Kuwait.
