McLaren Automotive, the British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars, today confirms the further expansion of its retail network in Europe with the announcement of a new retailer in Riga, Latvia. The grand opening of the new facility, which will have both a dedicated, state-of-the-art showroom and a service centre, is planned for 23 May. Prior to this, the McLaren range is available to order from a temporary facility located at 5 Krasta Street.
McLaren Riga will be the first McLaren dealership in Eastern Europe. Riga is the economic, financial and business centre not only of Latvia, but also of the Baltic States region that includes Estonia and Lithuania. The new operation will bring the total number of McLaren retailers in Europe to 23 and gives McLaren Automotive representation in 11 European markets. The expansion into Eastern Europe will help to support McLaren’s ambitious Track25 business plan, which will see the launch of 18 new models or derivatives between the end of 2018 and 2025.
“The Baltic states with Riga as a central point are an important market for McLaren in terms of its potential in Eastern Europe. With the strong experience of the Luxury & Sports Cars SE retailer group, which is already working with other luxury brands and has a rich history in motor sport in Latvia, we are determined to exceed customer expectations, adding value by offering personalised service in line with the McLaren brand. “
David Gilbert, Managing Director of Central Europe for McLaren Automotive
Located in the central located 75 K.Ulmana gatve, the new McLaren Riga showroom will span over 300sqm and showcase up to five cars, with further space for McLaren Qualified pre-owned cars. To ensure the quality of the customer service, the workshop is ideally located in front of the showroom. “Luxury & Sports Cars SE is honoured to be representing McLaren Automotive” says Valdis Spredzis, Chairman of the Board, McLaren Riga. “We believe this is a very important and competitive market within the Eastern European region and one where a brand with the prestige of McLaren should be represented. We are very excited to be able to start this project, a challenge that is a great responsibility to which we will devote all our efforts.
We want this new showroom to become the home for passionate, followers of McLaren and welcome those who have not yet had the opportunity to experience the products live.”
