Subaru UK has revealed plans to grow

Subaru UK has revealed plans to grow and restructure its UK network from the roots up and has already appointed 3 new dealers with a further 7 new franchised retail sites set to join in the first half of 2021. The product roadmap which includes the launch of exciting new models and full electric drivetrains prompts incredible growth potential for the brand in the UK.

Subaru UK will look to welcome a minimum of 15 new franchises to its network in 2021. The introduction of new partners, and the departure of some existing dealers, is crucial to help increase Subaru’s sales growth in the future.

Subaru UK managing director, John Hurtig, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming new dealerships into our network as we deliver our short term and long-term plans to enhance our sales in the UK”.

“With the ever-increasing demands from the European marketplace it is great to see our product roadmap will meet and exceed the wants and needs of UK consumers. Subaru’s core strengths of safety, capability and reliability produce SUVs and Crossovers that are perfect for active lifestyles or everyday commutes. With always-on Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a whole host of advanced safety features fitted as standard, you can trust that a Subaru will be with you year after year, mile after mile.”

Hurtig said that many of the new franchisees joining the brand in 2021 were “well-established and widely recognised names”, stating that “their experience will add great value to our business”.

He added: “We have a 5-year roadmap of new products coming to the UK and with ambitious sales targets for the next couple of years, we are welcoming new enterprising dealerships who are up for the challenge and are ready to join our exciting journey over the coming years”.

Subaru’s latest dealer appointments confirmed for early this year are:

  • Livery Dole (Exeter),
  • Tees Valley (Darlington),
  • Ullswater Road Garage Ltd (Penrith)
